After skillfully taking advantage of the Dubai government decree that foreigners would be allowed to own properties in the emirates he founded DAMAC Properties, a global property development company that specializes in developing luxurious properties such as large homes and 5 star hotels. Before founding his global property development company the DAMAC owner built several hotels to accommodate the growing influx of individuals who relocated to do business and trade.

Sajwani also serves as Chairman of DAMAC Properties. Sajwani has attracted the attention of other top notch businessman like himself due to his many successful forays. The most prominent of which is recently voted U.S. President Donald Trump. The two have become pretty close business partners and friends since they collaborated on a project to develop two luxury golf courses for the Trump Organization in Dubai in 2003. Tiger Woods actually designed one of the two golf courses.

Sajwani also does philanthropy through DAMAC in his spare time. In 2011 DAMAC Maison, DAMAC’s hospitality division was created. DAMAC Maison works to supply clothing and food to children in need that reside in their 8,000 units. It hopes to make an even bigger impact on the community by adding an extra 2,800 units.

Hussain Sajwani grew up in a middle class household as the eldest of five children. He decided he wanted to pursue a career in business while still in high school and later graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Industrial Engineering. He still lives in Dubai with his wife and four children.
